Carlos es un reconocido líder, tanto en México como en los Estados Unidos, y llegará a dirigir la división editorial de Estrella Media, tanto en sus emisiones locales como nacionales, y en sus cadenas televisivas, lineales y de servicios digitales. Tendrá como base los estudios de Estrella Media en la cd. de Burbank, Ca (Los Angeles).

Antes de su nombramiento en Estrella Media, Carlos Diaz colaboró por años como ejecutivo en Univision Comunicaciones, recientemente fue el jefe del buró de la division de noticias en Univision en la Cd. De México, así como la posición de jefe de servicios interactivos, y tuvo a su cargo el lanzamiento de la división de servicios digitales de la misma empresa en la Cd. De México. Anteriormente, fue director de noticias de KLDO/KXOF en Laredo Texas, y Vice director general de multimedia de El Universal, uno de los periódicos más importantes de la Cd. de México. Carlos es egresado de la Universidad Iberoamericana con estudios de periodismo y comunicación.

ESTRELLA MEDIA AND TV AZTECA, TWO LEADING SPANISH LANGUAGE MEDIA COMPANIES, ANNOUNCE CONTENT PARTNERSHIP AGREEMENT

Companies to Launch Groundbreaking Creative and Business Partnership to Bring Original, Spanish-Language Content to U.S. and Mexico Audiences

April 19, 2022 – LOS ANGELES, CA – Estrella Media, the transformative Spanish language media company serving a diverse multiplatform Latino audience in the U.S., and TV Azteca, one of the largest producers of Spanish-language television content in the world, are entering into a landmark content and programming partnership for the U.S. and Mexico. The companies will partner on the creation of over 600 hours of original programming for both the U.S. and Mexico, as well as the production of existing series and the licensing of library content to air in both countries. 

As part of the exclusive two-year agreement, both Estrella Media and TV Azteca have committed to co-produce original content and specials, including EstrellaTV’s tentpole blockbuster Regional Mexican music awards special, Premios de la Radio. The content the companies will co-produce are a combination of scripted and unscripted for their broadcast television networks and digital OTT, AVOD and FAST channels.

January 19, 2022 – LOS ANGELES, CA – EstrellaTV, the multiplatform network of Estrella Media, will premiere the original cooking competition series MasterChef Latinos on Thursday, February 10, with weekly two-hour episodes airing at 8 p.m. ET/7 p.m. CT. Produced for EstrellaTV by Endemol Shine Boomdog, the series premiere showcases 50 potential amateur chef and home cooks preparing their best meals in front of MasterChef Latinos judges Chef Benito Molina, Chef Adrián Herrera, and Chef Claudia Sandoval. MasterChef Latinos kicks off its premiere season on EstrellaTV with 50 chefs competing for the coveted white apron in the MasterChef kitchen. Who gets a white apron?
