Make-up Artist/Hairstylist
Position Summary:
The Make-Up Artist/Hairstylist is responsible for applying make-up and style hair for all talent, including touch-ups and keep complete control of the set for Estrella TV’s live and pre-recorded programs.
Responsibilities:
- Apply makeup to clients using a color palette and different tools such as mascara, sponges, eyebrow shapers, lip liners, brushes, and applicators.
- Work with clients to create various looks.
- Work on various productions, photography shoots, backstage at concerts, or on commercials.
- Style hair according to makeup.
- Apply touchups as necessary.
- Ensure makeup looks natural and well-applied under different lighting.
- Match skin color to color palettes to determine best looks.
- Work quickly and accurately under pressure.
- Maintain awareness of health and safety issues and regulation
- Perform other duties as assigned
Requirements:
- Minimum 2 to 4 years in TV Production, Theater, or Commercials
- Make-Up Certification required
- Cosmetology License is a plus
- Excellent written, verbal, communication and interpersonal skills.
- Ability to multi-task and work in a high pressure fast paced environment, usually with tight and changing deadlines.
- Bilingual: Fluency in written & spoken English/Spanish is required.
- Familiar with High Definition (HD) Techniques, Air Brush face and body required
- Provide excellent customer service
- Ability to work independently and as part as a team
Eligibility Requirements:
- Must be willing to work in Burbank, CA. [no relocations]
- Must be willing to work long hours, holidays, overnight and weekends on short notice.
- Must be willing to undergo a pre-employment background investigation
- Must have legal authorization to work in the United States
- Must possess valid CA Driver’s license and a good driving record.
- Must be 18 years or older
