Field Camera Operator
Position Summary:
The successful candidate will have experience in lighting and recording technique in both field and indoor settings. Must possess basic knowledge of sound and film language techniques and professional experience as a camera operator.
Responsibilities:
- Assemble and setting up equipment.
- Planning, preparing, and/or rehearsing scenes.
- Creatively framing and capturing action.
- Responding quickly to directions.
- Liaising with lighting and technical staff.
- Travel to different locations depending on assignments.
Requirements:
- Excellent written, verbal, communication and interpersonal skills.
- Ability to multi-task and work in a high pressure fast paced environment with tight deadlines.
- Knowledge of the Spanish language marketplace.
- Fully bilingual: English/Spanish.
- Prior, related field camera work in broadcast or production preferred.
- Minimum 2 years experience.
- Communications or Journalism degree preferred.
Eligibility Requirements:
- Must be willing to work in Burbank, CA [No Relocations]
- Must be willing to work long hours, holidays and weekends on short notice.
- Must be willing to undergo a pre-employment background investigation.
- Must have legal authorization to work in the United States.
- Must possess valid CA DMV license and a good driving record.
- Must be 18 years or older.
- Able to lift 50 lbs
